Mike Branch: Safety Training Expert — San Diego
Mike brings invaluable experience to the company, subsequent to a seven year career in law enforcement. Mike earned an Associate of Science Degree in The Administration of Justice from West Valley College. He started his career as a sworn peace officer in 1989 with the California Highway Patrol where he served for five years. In 1994 he began working for the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety as both a Police Officer and Firefighter for two-and-a-half years. He enlisted in the Navy in 1996 and served our country as a U.S. Navy SEAL for eight-and-a-half years. He has conducted counter-terrorist operations throughout the world, including combat tours in Iraq and the Philippines.
Kevin J.
McCormick – Safety Training Expert, San Diego
Kevin
has over twelve years in law enforcement in the county of San Diego to include
specialty training and experience in SWAT, dignitary protection, threat
assessment, riot suppression and fugitive recovery and transportation. As a deputy
in the jail system he also worked as liaison with the agency’s Gang Enforcement
Team. Kevin’s previous and current assignments in protection included a team
leadership role for the Saudi Royal Family Executive Protection Detail –
Beverly Hills, CA to New York, as well as protection of celebrities and high
level executives. Kevin’s experience allows him to bring invaluable “real
world” insight to the company from a training and content perspective.
Bill Stobbart: Safety Training Expert - Content Consultant - Spokane
Bill spent over twenty years in the US Army
Special Forces community operating in most geographic environments
throughout the world. Over time he has served as a weapons, medical and
intelligence specialist during numerous overseas excursions and as
detachment commander during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan
just after 911. His Third World peace time exposure gives relevance to
personal safety strategies for those traveling nationally or
internationally from high level executives to students and vacationers.
Lesley Blakeway: Safety Trainer - Seattle
Lesley's focus on safety training began after surviving a
violent assault fifteen years ago. She began training in Taekwondo,
earned her black belt and went on to become an instructor, and then added a
certification in SHARP (Sexual Harassment Assault and Rape
Prevention). Lesley is the chief instructor at Edmonds Martial
Arts in Edmonds, WA. Her
formal education includes a Certificate in Technical Writing and Editing from
the UW Extension, and a BS in Business Administration with a concentration
in Marketing and Human Resources. She serves on several non-profit boards
and has been an active volunteer in her local schools and community.
Larry
Kaminer: Safety Trainer - Seattle
Born and raised in Johannesburg,
South Africa
during the height of Apartheid, Larry developed a keen sense of situational
awareness at an early age. The unstable nature
of that society, extensive travel experience in Southern Africa and the Third World, and as a victim of several assaults, Larry brings a real world civilian perspective
to the issue of personal safety. His insurance consulting background in workers’ compensation
while in health care provided extensive experience in writing, organizing and
presenting content.
